Assistant Sales Manager Location :
Fraser Suites – Doha
Responsibilities
Monitor local market competition and industry trends, making actionable suggestions for hotel improvement.
Immediately relay all customer complaints and comments regarding hotel services to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Stay fully informed about major corporate clients, VIP guests, hotel promotions, and current room rates.
Achieve and exceed revenue goals within assigned market segments.
Proactively sell the hotel through telemarketing and face‑to‑face sales calls to secure new accounts and contacts.
Deliver presentations to travel agents and keep them updated on recent hotel changes.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel activities, services, outlet hours, and menus, as well as city and regional events.
Organise and conduct familiarisation tours of the hotel for potential clients and partners.
Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed before business is placed.
Respond to customer requests within 24 hours, resolving problems and complaints promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Administration or Hotel Management (beneficial).
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Sales (advantageous).
Previous experience within a hotel sales environment in an internationally recognised hotel chain at managerial level within the GCC market.
Current / previous responsibility for key accounts and new business generation in premium markets.
Demonstrated ability to manage own and others’ tasks through to conclusion.
Ability to lead presentations, conduct effective negotiations and close deals.
High proficiency in English language, oral and written.
Arabic language skills (preferred).
Highly organised, able to coordinate the efforts of others and manage multiple assignments and projects.
Knowledge of hotel PMS (HIS, Opera) and other industry software (advantageous).
Effective problem‑solving skills.
Adaptable to the demands of a 24x7 hotel environment.
Ability to work to deadlines and maintain composure at all times.
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related software packages.
