Assistant Sales Manager - Corporate

The role holder will contribute to the performance of the hotel by utilizing the skills acquired through past experience in the Sales Department. As an Assistant Sales Manager, you are responsible for soliciting, selling, and contracting rooms within your assigned market. You drive group bookings and sales leads and increase conversion. You are also responsible for month-end reporting and tracking of account production. This description highlights the most important areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship and Teamwork : Entails entertaining and conducting hotel inspections for clients when required. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with established clientele and continuously explores new business opportunities. Works closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure guestroom rate integrity. Liais es with related operations departments to ensure guests\' requests and expectations are met.
Business Strategy : Establishes an efficient trace file to ensure that all business booked is properly tracked. Follows up sales leads to identify prospect accounts. Assists in achieving monthly and annual personal targets contributing to Sales revenue. Schedules daily sales activities (Sales Calls, Site Inspections, Entertainments).
Product Knowledge : Develops a good knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering & PMS systems. Conducts extensive competitor research and maintains excellent product knowledge of the hotel.
Skills & Competencies : Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are essential; strives to improve service performance; superior time management and relationship-building; strong organization and follow-up skills. Experience, Certification & Education
Two years’ experience in the same job role
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism
