We are looking for an Engineering Lead (ICSS) for one of our clients with the following details :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Contract Duration : 36 Months
  • Location : Qatar Onshore

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 8 years' experience working in Instrument and Controls, in an Oil & Gas industry project, with broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction, and operations.
  • I&C design experience for offshore assets.
  • Strong understanding of Instrumentation, Controls, and Safety equipment, Metering, vendor package, and systems experience. Well-versed in relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Experience with smart JB technology is desirable.
  • Pre-commissioning / Commissioning experience is required.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Strong technical, prioritisation, and management skills.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and interface skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes.

    • Activities

  • Ensure I&C engineering activities are conducted per project specifications and approved variations. Responsible for quality design of I&C deliverables, including safety aspects and execution planning.
  • Drive work execution, ensuring technical alignment and quality with stakeholders from both PMT and EPC Contractor. Provide guidance to EPC to complete I&C design timely and clearly.
  • Manage ICSS purchase orders with EPC Contractor and System Vendor, ensuring safe and seamless system integration.
  • Develop plans and schedules for project activities, providing data and change management recommendations.
  • Support multi-discipline activities with I&C expertise, and advise management on I&C issues.
  • Facilitate interface between vendors and EPC to meet quality and execution goals.
  • Provide I&C engineering support during project workshops and reviews.
  • Share lessons learned with project leadership timely.
