Role Objective
The incumbent will be responsible for liabilities acquisition, revenue generation, customer acquisition / management / retention and work closely with the Department Head – Treasury Sales to maximize profits, in line with the internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will ensure prompt provision of Treasury product solutions to the retail / corporate customers within the approved limits and will ensure timely and accurate execution of sales transactions for customers in close coordination with the respective internal / external stakeholders.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities :
Achieve sales targets pertaining to various Treasury products, ensuring all performance standards are met in terms of the business targets, controls, compliance, and quality standards.
Actively manage treasury relationships and enhance FX flows sales and generation of revenue for the bank through the banks corporate as well as retail business.
Ensure effective coverage of key treasury relationships with the best services and solutions.
Contribute to the team’s foray into online execution brokerage business which will include equities, FX, fixed income and derivatives and assist Derivatives Sales Manager & Treasury Sales managers.
Provide regular market updates to clients on currencies, interest rates and financial markets in general, in close coordination with the Treasury Sales Manager.
Achieve targets for deposit acquisition from new and existing relationships in coordination with stakeholders in relationship teams in wholesale & international banking.
Achieve targets for new client acquisition both from domestic and overseas markets.
Contribute towards and support in the development and growth of the online treasury business. Actively coordinate with stakeholders from corporate & retail to grow the customer base and ensure increase in transaction volumes.
Assist in cross functional coordination efforts with the BIU and respective product teams in timely delivery of specific product development, enhancements and / or cost reductions based on business / product performance data, and market trends, changing customer requirements and corporate objectives.
Assist in the identification of the clients’ interest rate and FX exposures and in providing quality advice and marketing treasury products available to hedge those exposures.
Support in initiating customer / prospect visits / other viable means to ascertain needs on value proposition, requirements, and gaps in the respective market segment in terms of the treasury products assigned.
Assist the Treasury Sales Manager in coordination efforts with the Product & Innovation section, and Risk Management function, in identifying, and reporting on potential operational risk for the treasury products.
Educational Qualifications :
University graduate with a degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Mathematics or Economics or any other related discipline.
Master’s degree in management any other related discipline will be an added advantage.
Experience :
08-12 years of total experience in financial services / banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
Experience in Treasury Sales and Trading activities.
