Overview
Review, assess and decide whether vessels in the lower risk categories nominated by the business to load / discharge products in any of the Qatari Marine facilities represent an acceptable risk profile with the objective of enhancing the safety and operability of Qatar Energy controlled ports and offshore terminals.
Experience
Comprehensive understanding of the marine industry and experience through service as a tanker officer or other roles such as Ship Superintendent, Port Regulator, Class Society Inspector, Marine Warranty Surveyor, etc.).
Sound knowledge of applicable maritime legislation, standards and guidelines in the marine industry with an ability to communicate effectively on such issues with a broad range of stakeholders, including ship operators, marketers, external clients, port regulators and senior management.
A high standard of personal integrity.
Capability to effectively work within a team combined with a commitment to ensure that the delivered product and value exceeds the sum of the component parts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English Language.
Qualifications
Academic maritime qualification as Chief Officer or 2 nd Engineer or BSc equivalent degree in the marine field
