Chief Audit Executive, Family Holding - Qatar

A large family office holding company is looking to hire a chief audit executive to be responsible for the auditing of the holding companies in Qatar.

Main responsibilities include preparing an audit plan and developing an annual risk-based internal audit plan, identifying high-risk areas, leading audits, and assessing effectiveness of internal controls. The role also involves performing investigations, governance and compliance projects, and providing recommendations to improve governance and risk frameworks. The successful candidate will also oversee and mentor audit staff.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare an audit plan and develop an annual risk-based internal audit plan
• Identify high-risk areas across all the holding group's functions and subsidiaries
• Lead audits covering operational, financial, compliance, and IT functions
• Assess effectiveness of internal controls, SOPs, and risk mitigation measures
• Perform investigations of suspected fraud, misconduct, or irregularities
