Ensures forwarding and receiving of all information pertaining to the department to maintain set standards. Responsible for entering accurate room status into computer daily and investigating discrepancies. Maintains and update administrative data. Maintains working area and equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Work effectively with guests and colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures, and countries Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal guests and guests to anticipate their needs. Anticipate guests’ needs, handle guest enquirers, and solve problems. Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external guests. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge to explain and sell services and facilities to guests. Maintain knowledge of special programs and events in the hotel to recognize and respond to guests’ needs. Maintain current Hotel information to be able to provide information to guests. Adhere to InterContinental Hotel Group Code of Conduct and Housekeeping Policies and Procedures Report problems to Management with suggestions for resolution Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines. Be aware of the duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly. Works as part of a team and communicates with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
