Senior Project Lead

Job Purpose / Objective Responsible for leading multiple IT projects of medium to high complexity from initiation to closure. The role ensures successful delivery within defined scope, time, budget, and quality parameters while adhering to the organization’s project management framework and governance standards.

Key Accountabilities

Lead several IT projects with defined scopes and deliverables, managing all aspects of project execution including scope definition, planning, cost, schedule, and quality.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Apply and enhance the organization’s Project Management Framework across all phases of project delivery.

Collaborate closely with the Programs and PMO teams to ensure project portfolio governance, progress tracking, and compliance with reporting standards.

Key Activities

Work with the Lead of Digital & Business Solutions (DBS) Programs to develop and implement strategies for effective project and program delivery.

Ensure that best practices in project and program management are embedded across the DBS organization.

Develop strong engagement with business stakeholders to actively manage demand, requirements, and project priorities.

Promote a positive image of the DBS Programs by serving as an ambassador when engaging with colleagues, clients, and external partners.

Conduct detailed requirements analysis, resource sizing, and ensure proper allocation of project resources.

Develop and maintain detailed project scopes, objectives, and plans, ensuring stakeholder alignment and technical feasibility.

Track project progress and performance using structured project management methodologies.

Apply integrated change management and verification techniques to manage modifications in scope, schedule, and cost.

Manage stakeholder relationships, escalating issues as needed to ensure project success.

Perform risk and issue management to identify, assess, and mitigate potential challenges.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with third parties and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience Education

Required :

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology‑related field.

Preferred :

Master’s degree or MBA.

Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a project leadership role.

Minimum 5 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.

Proven track record of managing complex projects with cross‑functional teams.

Skills and Competencies

Strong project management expertise and familiarity with structured methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile).

Deep understanding of core Oil & Gas business processes.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
