Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet events, ensuring that every detail is executed flawlessly. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Banquet Coordinator will collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and staff to create memorable experiences that exceed expectations. Whether it’s a corporate event, wedding, or private party, the Banquet Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of each event.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of banquet events, including venue selection, seating arrangements, and catering services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the planning process and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that all expenses are tracked and kept within budgetary constraints.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring that all equipment and décor are in place and functioning properly.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Conduct site visits with clients to discuss event details and provide recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
- Manage the scheduling and training of event staff, ensuring that all team members are well-prepared for their roles.
- Evaluate event success through feedback and metrics, making recommendations for improvements in future events.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that all services are delivered as agreed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance the overall guest experience.
Preferred Candidate
Proven experience as a Banquet Coordinator or similar role in event planning or hospitality.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members.Detail-oriented with a creative mindset to envision and execute unique event concepts.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during events swiftly.Proficient in using event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and exceptional service standards.Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and event industry trends.Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse team of event staff.Skills
