Maintenance Technician (Asset Integrity)
Job Summary And Purpose
The Maintenance Technician (Asset Integrity) is technically proficient and responsible for performing physical oversight activities related to Asset Management Plans (AMPs). The role provides technical support and compiles recommendations for improvements to maintenance regimes or cycles based on incidents, failures, or inspection findings, in alignment with the Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee asset integrity and ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Supervise asset integrity checks and ensure adherence to the following maintenance procedures :
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
Corrective Maintenance (CM)Breakdown Maintenance (BDM)Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM)Conduct site inspections and collect data required by the Maintenance Engineer (AI) to prepare Incident Investigation Reports (IIR) and / or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Reports for PM&S-related incidents, accidents, damages, breakdowns, or failures.Audit and verify certificates, documentation, third‑party inspection (TPI) certifications, and calibration records.Verify and review revisions of Work Instructions (WI), Risk Assessments (RA), Permits, LOTO systems, OEM manuals, and HSSEQ guidelines.Analyze PM&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including PMC, MTTR, and MTBF.Inspect plant, systems, and equipment to ensure asset integrity across facilities, mobility, civil, and infrastructure assets.Oversee PM&S competency checks and ensure staff compliance with competency requirements.Communicate training needs, suggest process improvements, and follow up on implementation outcomes.Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging the workforce to regularly raise Hazard Reports as per Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions’ policy.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Section Engineer (SE) or Section Manager (SM).Prioritize personal and team wellbeing by maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Adhere to all health, safety, and wellbeing programs, and promptly report any concerns to foster a culture of safety and care.Qualifications
3‑Year Electrical or Mechanical Diploma from a recognized institution, specializing in Electro‑Mechanics.Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance experience (post‑degree or post‑diploma).Basic knowledge of PM&S (Shipyard operations).Understanding of auditing processes.Familiarity with Risk Assessment Procedures, Work Instructions, Permit to Work (PTW) System, and Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) System.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report preparation and presentations.Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.Skills
