What you will be doing : Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, with a focus on authentic Lebanese cuisine.
Lead and inspire the culinary team in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality Lebanese dishes for à la carte, buffet, and banquet services.
Ensure that all recipes, presentations, and flavors remain consistent and in line with MGallery and brand standards.
Develop and innovate menu offerings that balance authenticity with creativity, reflecting local and seasonal ingredients.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety as per HACCP guidelines.
Supervise mise-en-place preparation and ensure the smooth flow of kitchen operations during service.
Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Control food costs through efficient inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team in planning menus for special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining attention to detail, taste, and presentation in every dish served.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef specializing in Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
Culinary diploma or professional certification in culinary arts
In-depth knowledge of Lebanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
