Overview
Provide OM&R for HVAC / R systems and ICS base wide. OM&R shall include regular inspection, operational testing, and balancing, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC / R systems such as, but not limited to : chillers, air handlers, compressors, chilled water pumps, valve actuators, electronic dampers, water and air temperature sensors, water flow switches, air differential pressure switches, fan coil units, packaged air conditioners, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units, and direct digital controls (DDC).
Responsibilities
- Perform PM scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes and regulations.
- Operate a chemical water treatment program for all closed-loop HVAC ( Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning ) systems, such as in a chilled water system.
- Operate a comprehensive Refrigerant Recovery Program to ensure proper handling, containment, and management of refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions, including requesting parts, receiving parts, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing chiller equipment.
- Provide written reports after completion of inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system or component.
- Follow a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Follow a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere in all working facilities and areas.
- Safeguard government and contractor-provided property (e.g., government facilities, equipment, and tools).
- Accurately execute company time reporting procedures and complete timesheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications : High School Diploma required. One-year related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required. EPA 608 Universal Certification (Core, Type I, Type II, Type III) is required. Documentation of in-residence HVAC / R training shall be provided.Experience : At least 5 years of experience specializing in industrial chilled water systems and CRAC systems; ability to communicate clearly during instruction.Clearance / Citizenship : U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U.S. passport. Must maintain a valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment. Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and be able to drive a manual transmission. Must be able to pass flight line access tests and obtain a flight line access badge. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements including medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc. Must complete DoD CBRN defense training with successful fit testing of protective gear.Communication : Must be able to communicate in English.Experience / Capabilities : Minimum five years of experience in operations, maintenance and repair of HVAC units; strong understanding of safety directives and policies for equipment operation.Other / Company Information
