Job Overview :
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the shipyard and industrial facilities. The role requires hands-on experience in diagnosing system malfunctions, performing routine preventive maintenance, and ensuring efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems in compliance with company and safety standards.
Job Role & Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, compressors, air handlers, ducting, and ventilation systems.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Inspect and replace filters, belts, motors, and other components as needed.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with safety and environmental regulations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.
- Support installation and commissioning of new HVAC units as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
Education : ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering.Experience : Minimum 3–6 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair within the shipyard, industrial, or construction sector.Gulf experience preferred.Must have experience handling large industrial HVAC systems.Required Skills :
Strong knowledge of HVAC system operation, components, and troubleshooting.Expertise in refrigerant charging, pressure testing, and system balancing.Familiarity with electrical circuits related to HVAC control systems.Understanding of ventilation and air balancing techniques.Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.Good teamwork and communication skills.Benefits
