Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.

Job Purpose :

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Chef specializing in both Turkish and Arabic-style baklava for The Ned Doha, the ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery in creating exceptional baklava from scratch, including the ability to prepare authentic hand-made filo pastry. The role requires working independently and efficiently, with experience handling high-volume production while maintaining impeccable standards.

Responsibilities :

Prepare authentic Turkish and Arabic-style baklava from start to finish, including making filo pastry in-house. Manage large-batch production for commercial sales without compromising on quality or presentation. High volume production during festivities (Ramadan etc….) Work alone and as part of a team in the kitchen while maintaining an organized and clean environment. Ensure strict compliance with HACCP guidelines and best practices for food safety and hygiene. Understand and uphold the standards of a 5-star hotel or luxury food establishment in all aspects of food preparation, presentation, grooming standard and service. Maintain inventory, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste to control costs Innovate and suggest new variations of traditional baklava to enhance the menu.

Qualifications & Competencies :

Proven experience making both Turkish and Arabic baklava, including filo pastry preparation from scratch. Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume production with consistent quality. In-depth knowledge of HACCP safety procedures and commitment to food safety regulations. Familiarity with the operational standards of 5-star hotels or luxury establishments. Ability to work independently and manage all stages of pastry production. Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for maintaining culinary excellence. Ability to take direction from the Executive Pastry Chef & Executive Chef
