What you will do (Responsibilities)
- Visit customers, including ship owners, operators, shipyards, ship management companies and power plants on a regular basis and proactively build and promote relationships with them.
- Proactively identify business opportunities for Everllence engine and generator set products, develop and execute strategic proposals and follow through to fruition.
- Develop new customers from own sources / market information.
- Demonstrate adequate technical knowledge of practical applications in the industrial markets.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully cold call potential conquest customers and market partners.
- Collaborate with customers and team members with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of diesel, natural gas engine, generator operation, and field application.
- Provide technical consultation and support to clients before, during, and after the sales process.
- Display empathy to listen to and understand customer concerns.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Familiarize, understand and implement safety, and environmental policy, procedures, legal regulations and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.5-10 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the marine or energy sector.Strong understanding of marine propulsion systems, engines, and related technologies.Fluent with all forms of computer technology with above average skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, & Windows.That Is Important To Us
