Job Summary
Execution of orders on behalf of the institutional clients (domestic and foreign) in accordance with QNBFS policies, market regulations, and exchange rules. The role requires collaborating closely with sales, providing market intelligence, and ensuring exceptional client service and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate within the target departmental budgets.
- Achieve targets through service excellence and clear information dissemination.
- Generate liquidity and source block trades.
- Work closely with Sales to scout and acquire new clients locally, regionally, and globally.
- Implement KPI’s and best practices for Associate, Institutional Trading Sales.
- Promote cost consciousness, efficiency, and productivity to minimise costs.
- Distribute orders received from institutional clients to appropriate senior management and trading team members.
- Execute orders when necessary to support the desk.
- Maintain solid client relationships by providing factual market intelligence without offering investment advice.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑market updates to clients.
- Maintain a high standard of professional service to differentiate QNBFS from competitors.
- Generate trade ideas and disseminate research views to highlight market opportunities.
- Conduct client meetings locally, regionally, and internationally and seek feedback.
- Perform manual trades on QE system during OMS breakdowns, following required approvals.
- Report any trading errors to the SVP Trading.
- Escalate customer disputes to Senior Manager Institutional Trading or AVP Institutional Sales Trading as the first level.
- Assist customers in all queries regarding the bank’s products and seek solutions to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with SLAs to improve turnaround time.
- Build strong relationships with related departments to achieve group objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate data to auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk teams.
- Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality for commercially sensitive information.
- Maintain the highest professional standards to uphold QNB’s reputation.
- Perform other ad‑hoc duties or activities as requested by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
University graduate, preferably with a major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology; a master’s degree is preferred.Completed CISI - Introduction to Securities and QFMA Rules and Regulations.Excellent knowledge of equities and other instruments traded on QE.Knowledge of investment opportunities and trade alternatives within QE and regional markets.Knowledge of QE & QFMA regulations and other regional markets.Excellent communication skills.Application Documents
