Director of Resource Development Department (Qatarization)
- To supervise the development of QRCS's resource development strategies, set department's general annual / interim plans & monitor implementation upon approval.
- To participate in the development of relevant policies, procedures & regulations.
- To supervise the development of QRCS's basic, direct, long-term & support revenues, for the purpose of supporting QRCS's humanitarian programs / projects through various means of fundraising directed to all donors, companies, government bodies & donor organizations.
- To supervise the preparation & implementation of fundraising campaigns & participations in exhibitions, celebrations & public events, in coordination with Media & Marketing Department & relevant divisions, for the purpose of promoting QRCS & supporting its humanitarian programs / projects.
- To strengthen relations with various social groups in Qatar, especially QRCS's clients, maintain data of donors, supporting / donor organizations & funding partners, keep in touch with them & inform them of results of their contributions & reports of projects they support, for the purpose of maintaining their contributions & support for QRCS & its humanitarian mission.
- To have close communications with other QRCS divisions / departments seeking to develop QRCS's financial resources & coordinate with them in a positive way that ensures maximum benefit of available efforts.
- To enhance sources of funding through in‑kind donations, establish mechanisms for collection at QRCS or locations specified by donors & handle them in accordance with policies / procedures regulating such type of donations.
- To keep up to date about all legislative & ethical practices related to fundraising; ensure that all partnerships & resource development activities are carried out within legal boundaries & follow regulating policies, processes & procedures; identify all risks of partnership operations & attraction of institutional donations; manage these risks; & make sure their impacts are avoided or minimized.
- To submit regular reports on progress of department & campaigns, achievements made during reporting period, obstacles & challenges arising, & propose recommendations to overcome these obstacles / challenges.
- To perform any other tasks within the scope of job responsibilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Professional certification or training courses in marketing, public relations, communications, or customer service.Requirements
10 years of practical experience in marketing, public relations, or communication.Very good knowledge of nonprofit organizations in the MENA region.Familiarity with International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement & IFRC's institutional resource development systems.Good command of Arabic, with English preferable.Good command of Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent senior management skills & expertise in an interconnected service environment linked to understanding of the nature of community.Seniority level
