Head Chef - Italian Cuisine at The Ned & Ned's Club Overview

Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool. Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Italian Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a culinary visionary with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, capable of leading our kitchen brigade to consistently deliver exceptional dishes that delight our guests. Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the execution of the menu, ensuring adherence to authentic Italian cooking techniques and flavors. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on proper cooking methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Collaborate with the management team to plan and cost menus, monitor inventory, and maintain food quality standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as sanitation procedures, within the kitchen. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu development to keep offerings fresh and exciting. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food handling and storage guidelines. Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume Italian restaurant. Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, including regional specialties and traditional cooking techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and proficiency in managing food costs and budgets. Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred. Work Experience & Knowledge

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in the Gulf region Experience working with multicultural teams. Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques and methods. Extensive knowledge of ingredients, flavor profiles, and culinary trends. Strong understanding of kitchen equipment and utensils. Competencies

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail. Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to stringent sanitation standards and food safety regulations. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow during service. Adhere to portion control guidelines and presentation specifications set by senior kitchen staff.
