Overview The CSWIP Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting welding inspections during pipeline installation, including fit-up, in-process, and final inspections. The role requires ensuring compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), monitoring welder performance, and verifying weld quality through visual inspections and relevant testing methods.
Responsibilities
Perform welding inspections (fit-up, in-process, and final inspection) during pipeline installation.
Monitor welder performance to ensure adherence to approved WPS.
Conduct visual inspections of welds and confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Document inspection findings and prepare reports for project records.
Coordinate with construction and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues.
Ensure strict compliance with company and client quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications
Diploma or Graduate Engineer (Mechanical)
ASNT Level 2 in UT, MT, PT, and RT
Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 Certification (mandatory).
Minimum 12 years of Oil and Gas experience.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, standards, and inspection methods.
Good communication skills in any language (English preferred).
