Steel Welder

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Perform welding of structural steel components using SMAW, FCAW, MIG / MAG, or TIG processes as required.

Interpret and follow fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.

Carry out fit-up and tack welding prior to final welding.

Ensure weld quality meets project specifications and applicable codes (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).

Conduct visual checks and assist QC / Inspectors during welding inspections.

Prepare and maintain welding consumables (electrodes, filler wires, gases).

Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.

Qualifications & Experience :

Trade / Technical Certificate in Welding or Fabrication.

3–5 years of experience in welding of structural steel in construction, fabrication, or shipyard industry.

Valid welding certifications (e.g., 3G, 4G, 6G) preferred.

Requirements

Qualifications : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional Certification & fabrication Yard experience Experience : Minimum 3 years of continuous working experience in a similar position Have previous experience in the field of offshore fabrication projects (Jackets, Topside, Process modules, Living Quarter module).
