Supervisor-Steel Welder

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Supervise and monitor daily welding and fabrication activities of steel welders.

Allocate work to welders based on project priorities and schedules.

Ensure welding procedures, codes, and standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.) are followed.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure adherence to HSE policies and safe work practices.

Inspect fit-ups, root runs, and final welds to ensure quality compliance.

Coordinate with QC / QA inspectors for weld testing, NDT, and approval.

Qualifications & Experience :

Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Welding Technology.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in structural steel welding, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of different welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, MIG / MAG, TIG).

Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and welding procedure specifications (WPS, PQR).

Qualifications : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional Certification & fabrication Yard experience Experience : Minimum 3 years of continuous working experience in a similar position Have previous experience in the field of offshore fabrication projects (Jackets, Topside, Process modules, Living Quarter module).
