Chief Audit Executive, Family Holding - Qatar

A large family office holding company is looking to hire a chief audit executive to be responsible for the auditing of the holding companies in Qatar. Main responsibilities include preparing an audit plan and developing an annual risk-based internal audit plan, identifying high-risk areas, leading audits, and assessing effectiveness of internal controls. The role also involves performing investigations, governance and compliance projects, and providing recommendations to improve governance and risk frameworks. The successful candidate will also oversee and mentor audit staff. Responsibilities :

Prepare an audit plan and develop an annual risk-based internal audit plan Identify high-risk areas across all the holding group's functions and subsidiaries Lead audits covering operational, financial, compliance, and IT functions Assess effectiveness of internal controls, SOPs, and risk mitigation measures Perform investigations of suspected fraud, misconduct, or irregularities Requirements :

Bachelor or master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA preferred Minimum 8-10 years of internal audit experience Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and control frameworks Strategic thinker with analytical abilities and strong report writing and presentation skills Our client will consider applicants already based in the MENA region, with fluent English written and spoken essential.
