Supervisor - Steel Fitter

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Supervise daily activities of steel fitters at site or workshop.

Assign tasks to fitters based on project schedules and priorities.

Review and interpret fabrication drawings, layouts, and material lists.

Ensure proper alignment, marking, cutting, grinding, and fitting of structural steel components before welding.

Coordinate with welders and fabricators to ensure smooth workflow.

Check fit-ups, tolerances, and dimensional accuracy before welding and final assembly.

Enforce compliance with HSE regulations and conduct daily toolbox talks.

Monitor use and maintenance of tools, lifting equipment, and machinery.

Liaise with QC / QA inspectors for fit-up inspections and approvals.

Requirements

Qualifications : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional Certification & fabrication Yard experience Experience : Minimum 3 years of continuous working experience in a similar position Have previous experience in the field of offshore fabrication projects (Jackets, Topside, Process modules, Living Quarter module).
