Overview
The role of the Special Projects & Engagement Manager is to develop, manage and implement effective projects including engagement strategies for QNL’s national collection, working closely with the Director of National Collection and Special initiatives. This role is integral to implement the library’s priorities in raising the awareness and engagement with the national collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective engagement strategy for QNL’s national collection with special focus on contemporary history projects. This would also require commissioning and managing documentation projects.
- Work closely with the department director and QNL management in developing a strategy to enhance QNL’s position as an important custodian of documentary heritage for Qatar.
- Plan and implement crowdsourcing projects that will facilitate public engagement with Qatar’s History.
- Develop and implement evaluation of programs and projects for enhanced impact and identification of opportunities for improvement, e.g. Thakira Project, QNL’s Fellowship and residency, etc.
- Process evaluation of the department’s performance based on users’ analysis and other data.
- Support in executing key projects by proposing, refining and implementing processes and communications which requires preparation of detailed project plans and reports.
- Ensure transforming QNL’s priorities into detailed project workplans with view of milestones, roles and responsibilities for team members, and engagement required from other stakeholders.
Actively grow and engage with internal and external stakeholders to advance the library’s priorities in national collection and related projects.
Manage and develop the team and ensure supportive and inclusive working environment and a culture of continuous improvement.Efficiently plan and manage the unit’s assigned budget and resources.Work closely with the department director to advance QNL position within regional and international library association.Other tasks as assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
