Procurement Engineer (with ERP Knowledge)

الوصف الوظيفيBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is beneficial. Proven work experience as a Procurement Engineer or similar role with comprehensive experience in sourcing / purchasing of materials. Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors). Understanding of supply chain procedures. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create and conduct cost analysis. Negotiation skills. Liaise with logistics / procurement on deliveries. UPDA certification is an advantage. Strong ability to establish rapport with clients. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to speak and write very good English with a neutral accent. Excellent relationship management skills. Ability to work professionally in a multi‑cultural environment and as a team player. Versatile and can work efficiently under pressure. Should be well equipped with decision making skills. With Advanced level of computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing of new and / or potential vendors / suppliers of various materials intended for Fit-out projects and carpentry / joinery materials (wood, hardware and paint materials) and others as required for the project.
- Review / prepares comparative analysis and evaluation of quotations from suppliers.
- Negotiating contract terms of agreement, pricing, shipment and delivery.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review quality of purchased products.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
- Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
