Full time Based in Doha within the Middle East Business Unit and reporting to the General Counsel of SPIE Global Services Energy in France, the Regional Lawyer will oversee all legal matters (corporate, contracts, legal affairs, and compliance) in the region. The main responsibilities include : Providing legal secretarial services to SPIE Global Services Energy companies in the Middle East and Asia, including drafting agendas and minutes, approving financial statements, granting mandates / delegations of authority, company incorporations, share transfers, and related formalities. Participating in extraordinary transactions such as mergers and restructurings (e.g., share transfers). Reviewing, drafting, and monitoring various corporate contracts and documents. Addressing corporate legal issues encountered by SPIE Global Services Energy in the region, ensuring contractual commitments are secured and legal risks are minimized. Monitoring pre-litigation, litigation, and transactional procedures. Drafting commercial leases (initial leases, amendments). Conducting risk analyses related to contractual arrangements, growth, or restructuring operations. Supporting operational staff with legal advice on encountered issues. 2. Contracts
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various contracts (MOUs, confidentiality agreements, partnership agreements, service contracts, O&M contracts, turnkey projects). Negotiating bank and parent company guarantees. Preparing legal documentation for tenders. Identifying legal and contractual risks and proposing mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role offers an opportunity to develop skills in combating corruption and promoting a compliance culture, serving as the Compliance Legal Referent for SPIE Global Services Energy in the Middle East and Asia. Postgraduate legal degree (Bac +5) in Business and Corporate Law with at least 7 years of senior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Willingness to manage all legal affairs of the entire region is essential. English proficiency is required for this position. You possess strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills. Qualities such as pragmatism, adaptability, autonomy, rigor, initiative, and teamwork are vital for success in this role. Working at SPIE
