Full time Based in Doha within the Middle East Business Unit and reporting to the General Counsel of SPIE Global Services Energy in France, the Regional Lawyer will oversee all legal matters (corporate, contracts, legal affairs, and compliance) in the region. The main responsibilities include : 1. Corporate / Disputes Matters
Providing legal secretarial services to SPIE Global Services Energy companies in the Middle East and Asia, including drafting agendas and minutes, approving financial statements, granting mandates / delegations of authority, incorporation of companies, transfers of shares, and formalities. Participating in extraordinary transactions such as mergers and restructurings. Reviewing, drafting, and monitoring all types of corporate contracts and documents. Handling corporate legal issues and ensuring contractual commitments are secured, while mitigating legal risks. Contributing to the analysis and management of pre-litigation, litigation, and transactional procedures. Drafting commercial leases and supporting operational staff on legal issues. 2. Contracts
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of contracts including MOUs, confidentiality agreements, partnership agreements, service contracts, and turnkey projects. Reviewing and negotiating bank and parent company guarantees. Preparing legal documentation for tenders and supporting risk review processes by identifying legal and contractual risks. Additionally, this role offers an opportunity to develop skills in combating corruption by promoting a Compliance Culture and serving as the Compliance Legal Referent for the SPIE Global Services Energy Compliance Officer in the Middle East and Asia. Profile
Postgraduate legal degree (Bac +5) in Business and Corporate Law with at least 7 years of experience in a senior legal role, either in a firm or in-house. Fluency in English is required. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical, synthesis, and writing skills. Qualities such as pragmatism, adaptability, autonomy, rigor, initiative, and teamwork are essential for success.
