Job Purpose
The Procurement Senior Officer manages the procurement lifecycle with greater autonomy, from sourcing and vendor negotiations to contract execution and compliance monitoring. The role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, while strengthening supplier partnerships and driving process improvements. As a senior member of the procurement team, this role provides guidance to junior officers and supports strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, transparency, and cost optimization across Floward’s supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Lead RFQ creation, bid evaluations, and vendor selection processes.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements to secure best value.Contribute to procurement planning by analyzing demand forecasts and aligning sourcing strategies.Operational Procurement & DocumentationPrepare and release purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
Monitor end-to-end procurement transactions, including delivery tracking and invoice reconciliation.Ensure proper documentation and ERP system updates for audit and compliance readiness.Supplier ManagementManage relationships with key vendors to ensure performance, reliability, and responsiveness.
Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and corrective action plans where needed.Identify and develop alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and strengthen supply resilience.Market Research & Process ImprovementConduct benchmarking and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Recommend and implement enhancements to procurement processes, systems, and reporting.Stay updated on market shifts, materials availability, and pricing trends impacting procurement.Team Support & CollaborationProvide guidance to Procurement Officers and assist in resolving escalated supplier issues.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing supply chain performance.Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.5–7 years of procurement / sourcing experience, preferably in a multinational or retail / e-commerce environment.Strong track record in vendor negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.Experience using ERP / procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is required.Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are an advantage.Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools for procurement data.#J-18808-Ljbffr
