Overview
Role : Structural Engineering Lead (Civil)
Location : Qatar | Assignment Type : Onshore, 100% onshore | Contract Term : 36 months | Working Hours : 10 hours per day, 6 days per week | Leave Rotation : 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Responsibilities
- Lead civil and structural engineering activities to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, project specifications, and industry practices
- Oversee contractor and subcontractor design and execution, ensuring proper resources and personnel competency
- Provide guidance to FEED and EPC contractors and facilitate resolution of technical issues
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, and quality teams to provide civil / structural input
- Conduct technical evaluations, including risk-based assessments of complex engineering issues, and provide recommendations for optimal solutions
- Monitor schedules, track discipline progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Maintain high safety, health, and environmental standards, demonstrating personal leadership in SHES practices
- Interface effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 8 years of diversified civil engineering experience on large oil and gas projects, including at least 5 years in engineering executionFEED experience required; experience with tank foundation design is advantageousKnowledge of brownfield engineering and execution practicesSkills and Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent analytical, organisational, and planning abilitiesEffective communication skills with the ability to interface at all levelsProficient in Microsoft Office and technical software toolsStrong knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and industry practicesAbility to manage conflicts, solve problems creatively, and influence outcomes#J-18808-Ljbffr
