Product Owner

The Group Securities is a well-established investment organization working in the finance industry since 1989, as a company devoted to the stock exchange. It was licensed once Qatar Stock Exchange was founded in 1997 and provides an array of investment services to more than 400,000 investors, with portfolios exceeding QR 100 billion. As brokerage firm, The Group Securities finances margin trading and operates as liquidity provider for the listed shares and ETFs. The company has a paid-up capital worth (QR 1 billion) and has been continuously posting profit since its inception. Besides being licensed by Qatar Financial Market Authority to exercise these activities, The Group Securities is also a member of Qatar Stock Exchange.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, UX / UI Designers and stakeholders to effectively articulate product requirements, priorities, and decisions, ensuring a shared understanding of objectives

2. Effectively manage and meet stakeholders’ priorities and expectations while assuming the role of a subject matter expert through deep intellectual curiosity and drive to learn

3. Transform high-level product requirements into well-scoped and actionable user stories, proficiently crafting acceptance criteria

4. Manage product requirement documents and maintain an organized and well documented product backlog

5. Proficient and comfortable to work with metrics and analytics tools to foster a culture of customer-centric and data-driven decision making

6. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and other relevant activities (e.g. backlog refinements, defect triage meetings …etc)

Requirements :

1.Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or any related field with 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst with a strong engineering background

2. In-depth understanding of the technical aspects of software development, coupled with a proven track record of working with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, actively engaging in related ceremonies

3. Familiarity with leveraging research, experimentation and product analytics to guide decision making

4. Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, both in Arabic and English

5. Strong proficiency in JIRA and Confluence including other tools such as Excel, PowerPoint

6. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards work

7. Domain expertise in the Finance and brokerage space is a significant advantage
