Responsibilities
Ensure time and quality in the delivery of goods and documents indicated in the Purchase Order and ensure the suitability of goods, preventing extra costs, delays or other disruptions by promoting / cromptive actions during production and / or assembly.
Monitor the progress of the supplies throughout the entire supply execution period to achieve the contractual delivery date.
Manage requests for early delivery or postponed delivery in accordance with project requirements.
Review the Purchase Order and all contractual documentation to detect discrepancies and prevent misunderstandings that could cause delays.
Coordinate with vendors to confirm receipt and interpretation of the Purchase Order and expedite acknowledgments of orders.
Ensure the vendor supply schedule covers all phases (engineering, procurement, construction, inspection, preparation for shipment and transport) and complies with contract delivery terms and dates.
Facilitate the interface between vendors and Saipem functions involved in the supply chain activities.
Provide reliable and up-to-date information on supply progress status according to delivery criticality.
Monitor all supply chain phases to identify and manage potential delays and mitigate delays already detected.
Ensure timely availability of suitable shipping documentation to enable shipping and transportation of purchased materials.
Manage identification and handling of dual-use items as required.
Ensure SAP is exhaustively and punctually updated; issue Goods Receipts and release milestones; forecast milestone achievement and goods delivery dates.
Support the Liquidated Damages function to evaluate delay reasons and assist with vendor variation requests / claims.
Issue vendor performance feedback as per Saipem Vendor Management process.
Qualifications
Industry Knowledge :
Familiarity with industries such as construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas.
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
Software Proficiency :
Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Data Analysis :
Ability to analyze data and generate reports related to procurement and inventory levels.
Communication and Collaboration :
Excellent communication skills for building relationships with suppliers and negotiating terms.
Team Collaboration :
Ability to work with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Personal Attributes :
Detail-oriented, problem-solving, time management with strong organizational skills.
