Loons Group W.L.L. is a prominent Engineering and Technology organization based in Doha, Qatar. The company specializes in Telecom, Electronic Security & Low Current systems, Information Technology, and Electrical Systems. Loons Group undertakes turnkey projects involving the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of various systems with a team of qualified Sales and Support Engineers.
Role Description 1. Project Activity Monitoring & Control
Lead daily coordination and control of on-site activities in accordance with the master project schedule.
Monitor the progress of all site work, identifying any deviations from the planned timeline and implementing corrective actions.
Proactively identify potential risks and delays and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager with recommended solutions.
2. Manpower & Productivity Management
Track and record daily manpower hours worked by all technicians and subcontractors.
Analyze the correlation between hours expended and the actual physical progress of activities.
Prepare daily and weekly productivity reports, highlighting variances, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Assist the Operations Manager in optimizing crew sizes and work schedules to enhance productivity and meet deadlines.
3. Material Inspection & Logistics Coordination
Receive, inspect, and verify all materials and equipment delivered to the site against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Ensure all materials meet the required specifications and quality standards before they are used or installed.
Manage on-site material storage and inventory, reporting any shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
Liaise with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure just-in-time delivery of materials to avoid project stoppages.
4. Project Documentation & Reporting
Maintain and control all project documentation, including but not limited to :
Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
Inspection and Test Reports (ITR)
Material Delivery Receipts (MDR)
Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Work Permits
As-built drawings and site diaries
Ensure all documentation is accurately completed, filed, and readily accessible for audits and client reviews.
Prepare and submit regular status reports to the Project Manager, summarizing progress, issues, and resource utilization.
5. On-Site Coordination & Communication
Act as a key point of communication between the site team, project management, clients, and subcontractors.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly coordination meetings with technicians and foremen.
Ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a project coordination or site supervision role, preferably within the (specify industry, e.g., construction, oil & gas, telecommunications, etc.).
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel for tracking and reporting is essential).
Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Asana) is a strong advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project schedules.

Working Conditions
This is a site-based role and may require working in various weather conditions.
Standard work hours may vary and include overtime, weekends, or holidays to align with project phases and deadlines.
Physical mobility may be required to traverse the project site for inspections and monitoring.
