KITCHEN STEWARD JOB DESCRIPTION

A Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of the kitchen and related areas. The role ensures that chefs and kitchen staff have clean dishes, tools, and workspaces to operate efficiently and safely. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas including floors, walls, counters, and surfaces.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and serviceware using dishwashing machines or manual methods.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, and refrigerators.
• Properly dispose of waste, recyclables, and food scraps according to safety guidelines.
• Ensure storage areas, pantries, and refrigerators remain neat and hygienic.
