The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas utensils tableware and cooking equipment. The role supports the smooth operation of the kitchen and F&B outlets by ensuring a clean safe and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment utensils pots and pans.
- Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen floors walls and workstations.
- Collect and remove trash and recycling materials from designated areas.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they function properly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; report shortages.
- Assist kitchen and service staff with setup and breakdown of buffets or banquets.
- Follow hotel safety and sanitation policies including proper chemical handling.
- Sort and stack clean dishes; deliver them to proper storage areas.
- Handle all equipment carefully to avoid breakage or damage.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g. oven cleaning grease traps).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience as a steward or dishwasher in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage.Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards.Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for long hours.Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.Remote Work
