Airswift is seeking a GIS ANALYST to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, GIS, Geomatics, Geography, or a related field. A postgraduate degree in Geography / GIS is highly desirable.

Skills and Experience

Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in geomatics, including at least 5 years in the oil and gas industry.

At least 5 years’ experience working with GIS on the ESRI platform, especially ArcGIS Pro and Portal for ArcGIS.

At least 5 years’ experience managing drone data with software such as Drone2Map, Agisoft Metashape, PiX4Dmatic, and Itwins Capture Modeller.

Experience with Building Information Management (BIM) software like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ArcGIS GeoBIM, Trimble Connect, and Autodesk BIM 360.

Proficiency in creating 3D meshes, models, orthomosaics, DSM, DEM from drone and LiDAR data.

Experience in spatial data management, QA / QC, and data integration for engineering support.

Skills in using ArcGIS 3D Analyst, Image Analyst, and Network Analyst extensions.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, ArcPy, and familiarity with ArcGIS SDKs.

Experience in extracting geographic and engineering data from multidisciplinary drawings and documents.

Ability to translate CAD files into GIS formats and perform data loading independently.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Process large datasets from drone mapping and LiDAR scanning of assets.

Integrate drone and LiDAR data into GIS systems to support projects and operations.

Convert BIM data into GIS format and upload into GIS databases.

Provide GIS technical support during incident management and emergencies.

Mine project dossiers, engineering drawings, manuals, and reports for geographic and engineering data.

Assist in developing geospatial solutions to meet business needs.

Maintain and update the corporate GIS database through data transformation and quality checks.

Populate attribute data from engineering records into MS Access and Excel databases.

Link AutoCAD entities with database records using external connectivity features.
