Job description

Job Purpose

  • Provide expert level support to control systems engineering activities to contribute to department objectives in meeting Company strategy .

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialised area.

    • Key Job Accountabilities

  • Provide control system engineering support to contribute to the division strategy and goals. That includes design reviews, specifications review / update, studies, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Define and document surveillance and administration programs for critical control systems to achieve high standards of reliability, availability, and cyber security.
  • Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert and / or as Technical Authority in area of specialization.
  • Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements to support their business objectives.
  • Control and supervise the activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
  • Create and define competency development plan and mentor National developees to develop their capabilities and their knowledge.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

    • Knowledge and / or Experience

  • 8 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
  • Experience in control systems such as Foxboro, Emerson, Honeywell, Triconex, CCC, PLCs and Applications such as AMS, APC, PI systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant international standards such as IEC, ANSI / ISA and API RP and their application is necessary.
