Mechanical Foreman

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead mechanical technicians in performing routine preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of mechanical systems. Organize and assign daily tasks based on maintenance schedules and work orders. Monitor and inspect mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, blowers, valves, piping systems, and gearboxes. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical faults and guide technicians during repairs. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with operational standards. Coordinate with supervisors and other departments (electrical, instrumentation, operations) for integrated maintenance. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and spare parts. Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and technician performance. Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies (HSE). Assist in the training and development of junior technicians. Qualifications

Education : ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience : Minimum 5–7 years in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably in sewage or water treatment plants. Technical Skills : Hands-on experience with pumps, piping, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret maintenance procedures.
