Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners Train and mentor new team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively Conduct regular inspections to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed Collaborate with other departments, such as guest services and maintenance, to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations Assist with scheduling and assigning duties to housekeeping team members, taking into account guest occupancy levels and special requests Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote a positive and productive work environment Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss housekeeping operations and make recommendations for improvements Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning products Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
