Key Responsibilities
Maintain the hotel’s image by ensuring a neat appearance and correct uniform wearing, following the hotel's personal hygiene policy. Ensure key‑control procedures are maintained. Establish daily planning assignments for rooms, turn‑down attendants, evening cleaners and housemen. Check daily room service and turn‑down service, completing evening checklists. Liaise closely with Front Office to manage late arrivals, early arrivals, VIP rooms and special requests. Provide feedback on employees’ work performance to the Housekeeping Manager. Check equipment and pantries at the end of each shift, ensuring cleanliness and proper storage of supplies. Ensure accurate hand‑over between morning and evening shifts, recording all instructions in the logbook. Coordinate with the Order Taker on room status; inform Room Attendants immediately of check‑outs. Update room status and guest discrepancies continuously, reporting to Front Office. Maintain all services and standards in accordance with the Welcome Charter and SOP of the department. Manage pantry stock and requisition supplies on the prescribed day to keep par levels. Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuation, fire and bomb threats. Perform any duty assigned by the housekeeping management team. Assist with linen inventories when requested by the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Managers. Report and follow up on all maintenance issues. Conduct turn‑down training with new and existing staff. Ensure staff follow their break times. Physically check all discrepancies using the discrepancy report. Report guest complaints / comments to the Housekeeping Manager. Ensure staff follow lost‑and‑found procedures. Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role at a luxury hotel (resort experience a plus). In‑depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, chemicals, linen handling and machinery. Excellent written and spoken English. Professional, well‑groomed appearance at all times. Positive, energetic, friendly, adaptable, self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
