Overview
QNB Group is seeking an Associate - Custody Client Management and Business Development (Qatarization) to support the Client Management and Business Development team. The role involves proactive assistance in managing client relationships (within delegated authority), onboarding / offboarding (client lifecycle management), handling client inquiries, and performing daily tasks in line with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Shareholder & Financial : Assist in monitoring and achieving KPIs for sustainable growth; support cost-efficient service delivery; implement KPIs and best practices for Associate Custody Client Management and Business Development; promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimise cost and optimise benefits; act within delegated authority.
- Customer (Internal & External) : Assist in servicing custody clients’ needs, feedback, and queries via email, phone, or meetings; assist Relationship Managers in ongoing client management tasks; assist in onboarding new clients; provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors and Compliance; assist customers with product-related queries and seek solutions; maintain activities according to SLAs with internal departments; build and maintain relationships with related departments to achieve objectives; provide data to auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk as required.
- Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory) : Develop strong working relationships with Assistant RM and RM; own reporting processes as required by clients and regulators; assist onboarding and offboarding of clients; assist in producing prospect lists for potential custody clients; guide clients to existing offerings and limit operational risk; assist with KYC due diligence to keep custody client documentation up to date; support the Department head with periodic Management and Business Information reports; assist in AGM / EGMS work and represent custody clients and QNB assets; maintain first-line defense in operational risk; align client needs with Custody offerings and internal procedures; work toward standardization and well-defined on-boarding KYC screening procedures; understand custody market trends, regulations, client needs, and competitor activities; develop understanding of QNB ancillary products.
- Learning & Knowledge : Identify opportunities for professional development and stay current with industry developments.
- Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework : Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements including AML / CTF, Sanctions, Data Protection, Fraud Control, Whistle Blowing, and Conflict of Interest policies; support Three Lines of Defence, conduct risk, and operations risk management; complete mandatory training and attend required seminars.
- Other : Maintain high standards of data protection and confidentiality; uphold professional standards to protect QNB’s reputation; perform ad hoc duties as requested.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field).No previous experience required.Attachments
