Overview
The Head - Work Permits is responsible for working collaboratively and cohesively within the Ministry of Labour to assist the Director of Immigration Office by processing all labour approval service requests for our clients.
This role encompasses review, validation, and process all services requests subject to MOL approval such as work visa, temporary work visa, change employer, etc. In addition to any other requests subject to our approvals according to Immigration Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with MOL Office at our organization.
- Ensure policy development is aligned with the changing legislative requirements.
- Ensure that MOL service requests are closed within the SLA.
- Supervise the PROs for planning their daily tasks, setting annual goals and objectives, and evaluations according to the HC requirements.
- Provide quarterly report to the director - Immigration Office regarding the performance evaluation of MOL Office in our organization.
- Attend meetings, conferences, or workshops related to MOL.
- Identify and stay aware of relevant internal or external issues, risks and shifts which impact on labour approval and advice provided.
- Issue work permits, where required, in adherence to our rules and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 7 years in relevant fieldsBachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Relations or related fieldsDeep understanding of labour approval processes and Ministry of Labour (MOL) regulationsExperience in policy development aligned with legislative changesSLA management and timely closure of service requestsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsManaging intergovernmental relationshipsAwareness of internal / external risks affecting labour approvalsAbility to align operational activities with strategic goalsDetails
