Senior Legal Counsel

Apt Resources is seeking a highly qualified Senior Legal Counsel to join the legal team at one of our esteemed clients. This pivotal position requires an individual with extensive legal experience in corporate law, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Legal Counsel will provide expert legal guidance to support the organization’s strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including corporate governance, compliance, and commercial transactions.
• Lead the implementation of new compliance protocols and guidelines across the organization. Monitor their effectiveness and suggest improvements to ensure continuous adherence to legal standards.
• Lead regular audits of organizational practices against compliance standards and legal requirements. Identify risk areas and develop mitigation strategies to prevent legal disputes and enhance compliance.
• Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the organization’s interests.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, working closely with external counsel when necessary.
• Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for staff on legal and compliance matters.
• Stay updated on changes to relevant laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
