Process Support Engineer – Petrochemicals

Location : Qatar (Mesaieed / Ras Laffan)

We are seeking a Process Support Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across petrochemical facilities. This role focuses on process optimisation, continuous improvement, and problem-solving to enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to identify process improvements, implement solutions, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production process issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of production processes and relevant industry standards.
• Collaborate with operations, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Develop advanced process monitoring tools to track yields, quality, flow rates, and other key metrics.
• Propose operational adjustments and changes to procedures to improve plant performance.
• Support engineering projects and process modifications, including feasibility studies, design, and start-up.
• Contribute to Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across the team.
• Conduct equipment inspections and provide engineering recommendations.
• Perform risk assessments for process-related activities to ensure safety and compliance.
• Use data analysis tools to generate reports and recommendations for process performance improvement.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and support budget management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation, participate in audits, and support quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare reports on KPIs, process performance, and improvement initiatives for management review.
