Primary Objectives

Deliver piping discipline specific design and drafting services that meet Worley, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements

Initiate, design and drafting assignments on project requirements on time and within budget

Perform discipline-specific design and drafting services

Apply recognized offshore / onshore engineering practices applicable to piping design and topside / plant layout

Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes

Participate in studies and analyses as required and recommend actions

Prepare engineering drawings and documentation

Ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures

Participate in project reviews as required

Job Specific Knowledge

Minimum project experience in process plants (primarily Oil & Gas) and knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards

Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Ability to prepare basic piping engineering drawings

Ability to perform detailed, advanced drafting autonomously

Familiarity with brownfield engineering principles and ability to incorporate them into design

Understanding of hydrocarbon processing and process diagrams (PFDs / P&IDs) and ability to incorporate into 3D models

Ability to select efficient design and layout for offshore / onshore engineering

Competent in 2D and 3D software with developing skills in design software

Industry Specific Experience

Minimum of 12 years of project experience in design and engineering of piping and process equipment

Previous working experience on Qatar projects is preferred

IT Skills

2D Software : AutoCAD, MicroStation

3D Software : PDS, S3D / PDMS, E3D

3D Review Software : Navisworks, SPR

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
