Job descriptionKey Responsibilities : Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and purchasing processes. Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to ensure the best pricing and quality. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules and project specifications. Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs to prevent shortages and reduce excess stock. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities. Participate in supplier audits and performance evaluations to assess quality and reliability. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Preferred Qualifications : Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and practices related to procurement and supply chain management. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
