Data Center Technician, Engineering Field Services

Minimum qualifications

Experience in hardware, networking, operating systems, Linux, or project planning.

Experience with hardware and operating systems (e.g. Linux) and networking protocols.

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Knowledge of basic topology and protocol.

Advanced level Linux skills, including installation, systems administration and troubleshooting.

In this role, you will be part of the team that installs, troubleshoots and maintains hardware infrastructure for Internet facing environments.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing maintenance and repairs including servers, networking and storage devices, such as replacing hard drives, replace RAM, swap CPUs, motherboards, etc.

Lead troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues over a significant population of affected hardware equipment.

Contribute and lead efforts / projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center servers and network infrastructure.

Perform active infrastructure upgrades and decommission end of life equipment as required.

Follow the site’s environmental health and safety policies.
