Chiller Mechanic

Job Summary

The Chiller Mechanic provides operations, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) support for HVAC / R systems and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) across a military base in Qatar. The role includes inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of large-scale HVAC systems, chillers, and environmental control units. This position requires a Secret Security Clearance, extensive hands‑on technical experience, and the ability to work in a demanding overseas operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform operation, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) for all HVAC / R systems, including chillers, air handlers, compressors, chilled water pumps, valve actuators, and sensors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (in accordance with manufacturer specifications, technical orders, and applicable regulations).
• Operate a chemical water treatment program for closed-loop HVAC systems (chilled water systems).
• Manage a refrigerant recovery program, ensuring compliance with EPA and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC systems, including CRAC units, DDC controls, and industrial cooling systems.
• Generate detailed maintenance and inspection reports following each service activity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment aligned with Vectrus, OSHA, and USAF standards.
• Safeguard all government and contractor‑provided property, tools, and facilities.
• Participate in training, safety, and quality assurance programs as required.
