Roles and Responsibilities Duties Tasks Development of HSE Policies Define and implement HSE policies aligned with current standards and regulations Inspections and Audits Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards Training and Awareness Organize training sessions to raise awareness among staff regarding risks and best safety practices Incident Management Investigate HSE incidents analyze causes and implement corrective actions Reports and Documentation Maintain updated documents and reports concerning incidents audits and inspections Safety Equipment Management Ensure the availability and proper functioning of safety equipment Regulatory Compliance Ensure that all activities comply with current regulations Monitoring and Continuous Improvement Periodically assess HSE performance and propose improvement actions Ensuring that all necessary risk assessments required by legislation are carried out Advise on compliance with local laws and regulations HSE Elements Regular health safety and housekeeping inspections that cover buildings plant equipment services and fire arrangements to ensure conformity with regulations and company policies Knowledge of the local related legislation requirements and regulations and providing feedback on the compliance of these legislations Knowledge of the Safety Environmental Management Systems ISO 45001 ISO 14001 Also responsible in being the management representative in the Safety Management Review Committee Knowledge of the HSE Program and providing advice guidance and sufficient training to the plant yard and HSE supervisors on the effective implementation of the programPromote HSE awareness through organization of HSE related activities Qualification and skills Engineering Degree in any discipline Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE Management HSE Diploma or certifications in NEBOSH IOSH or any other relevant professional certification Experience in the manufacturing oil and gas industry preferably in the pipe coating industry Competencies Excellent leadership people management and coaching skills Risk assessment The ability to perform detailed risk assessments Problemsolving Ability to often face situations find effective solutions to safety concerns Compliance with laws and regulations are essential to understand and apply safety laws and regulations within the workplace Strong communication Need to have effective communication skills to articulate complex safety procedures clearly and concisely Knowledge of Safety Laws and Regulations Must be wellversed with all safety laws and regulations relevant to the industry This knowledge is crucial to ensure that an organisation complies with all legal requirements and avoids potential penalties or legal issues Personal Traits Characteristics Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills Able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing High level of maturity confidence and steadiness in driving execution and stakeholder management Ability to work on own initiative prioritise work handle pressure and make daytoday decisions on the running projects and operations A proactive team player and selfstarter who can demonstrate resourcefulness with excellent organisational team management and communication skills Commitment to and understanding of team work and collaborative working Able to motivate maintain and develop a high functioning effective team Good negotiation influencing skills A critical thinker with excellent problemsolving skills Interested candidates email application cvs to Confidential Information Kindly be informed that only shortlisted candidates will be notified
