Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Quantity Surveyor

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, and ensuring that all project costs are effectively managed in alignment with project budgets and scopes. What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for infrastructure projects, including :

Roads and Highways : Pavement structures, road alignments, intersections, and associated works. Drainage Systems : Stormwater drainage, sewerage networks, and flood control systems. Utilities : Water supply networks, electrical cabling, telecommunications, and gas pipelines. Civil Works : Bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other supporting structures.

Reviewing and analyzing contractor claims, variations, and payment applications to ensure compliance with contract terms and project specifications. Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and standards. Monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets and forecasts. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve cost‑related issues and ensure smooth project execution. Preparing and maintaining accurate records of project costs, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements. Ensuring compliance with MME regulations, standards, and guidelines throughout the project lifecycle. Conducting site visits to verify quantities, assess progress, and ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with the contract. Assisting in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, including reviewing terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project requirements. Providing advice on contractual matters, including risk management, claims, and dispute resolution. Preparing final accounts and ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are closed out efficiently and accurately. What Required Skills You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering. 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong focus on large‑scale infrastructure projects, particularly those related to roads, highways, drainage systems, utilities, and other civil works. Certification or accreditation from a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is preferred. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Strong understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC and other standard forms of contract. Must be MME certified. What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

Experience in infrastructure projects within the Gulf region, particularly Qatar, is highly desirable. Familiarity with cost control and project management tools. Knowledge of risk management and dispute resolution processes. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve contractual disputes amicably. Experience in preparing and defending claims and variations.
