Section Head - Network & Servers

The incumbent will support the Department Head IT Infrastructure & Operations in maintaining policy, managing technical support, overseeing capacity planning and implementation of enhancements of bank-wide Network and servers, including but not limited to Windows, Linux and UNIX operating systems. The job holder will be responsible for resilience and high-availability of all hardware and operating systems related to Network and servers including international infrastructure and ensure maintenance of stable and reliable network environments by efficient usage of resources, timely resolution of operating incidents / problems, and effective implementation of system applications adhering to standard operating procedures to meet the Bank’s business and functional needs and the Department’s commitments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic

• Contribute towards the formulation / implementation of overall department strategy / goals and align Network & Servers section towards the same.
• Work closely with the Dept. Head in development of and oversee effective implementation of Network & Servers strategies and roadmaps to enhance the functional capabilities, in line with the overall DS&IT strategies / goals.
• Update self on the regulatory requirements / changes set by QCB and other relevant government bodies and initiate adequate changes within the function / organization, pertaining to Network & Servers.
